No Razors or Knife Edges (Scissors are permissible,
but one side of the handle must be fixed in place, and the blades must
have a protective cover in place during storage and transport.)

No Pins, Needles, or Nails (If you need a sharp
point, you may use a thumb tack. The tack must be corked for storage
or transport.)

Any electrical circuits must be DC (battery) powered,
and may not exceed 9 volts.

You may use AC (plug-in) appliances, but you may not tamper
with the circuitry. (For example, if you wanted to use an electric
fan, you must arrange for the machine to turn the fan on using the fan's own pre-installed
switch.)

If you do use AC power, your machine cannot include any
water.

No projectiles smaller than a Ping-Pong ball.

No projectiles may have points or sharp edges.

If you use projectiles, all the members of your group
must wear safety glasses or lab goggles whenever working on the machine.

Though you may use standard mousetraps, rat traps are
not permissible.
