The Calculations
In the calculations section of the lab report, a single example
of every significant calculation must be included. There is typically
a statement, which explains what was being calculated, followed by a formula,
and a sample calculation using actual numerical values collected during
the lab. If the formula uses variables, each variable must be defined
and used consistently throughout the entire report. If there are
multiple trials, the same trial is used for all samples throughout the
calculation section. (All results for all trials will be reported
in the results section of the laboratory.) Remember to use correct
significant digits and units at all times.
