The Format and Standards for an FLR

A Formal Lab Report is an important document.  You will probably only be asked to write one or two Formal Lab Reports in each quarter.  It is an unavoidable fact that people are impressed by the quality of presentation of a written piece, so it is important that your report demonstrates the sort of care and effort which is appropriate to a significant assignment.  You may have understood the lab perfectly, you may have conducted your experiment meticulously, you may have data of only the highest quality, but if your report itself looks sloppy or is carelessly written, your reader will not be impressed by your work.
