The Procedure
The procedure section will explain the general procedure
used to collect the data necessary to test the theory. Do not give
step by step directions; do not number the sentences. The procedure
section should be written in the form of prose paragraphs made up of complete
sentences.
Also, remember that the Formal Lab Report is, first and
foremost, a report. The procedure must be described in the past tense,
as it has already happened.
Also, the procedure (and the entire lab) must be written
in the passive voice, to shift the emphasis from the experimenter to the
experiment.
